Camp Crescent Moon
Hina Patel Foundation (HPF) encourages Kern County children with sickle cell disease to experience a week-long camp with other children from around the state who suffer from the same disease. The camp has many group activities with trained volunteers and health care professionals, allowing a safe, fun environment for each child. Camp Crescent Moon allows attendees to participate in many indoor and outdoor activities such as nature walks, dancing, music, art, computers, and more – all the while providing information about Sickle Cell Anemia to help provide growth and development. For interested children in Kern County ages 7-14, HPF funds the participation.
